2022 Camaro ZL1 1LE Nascar -Ready Model Revealed at Charlotte Motor Speedway

There are many awesome places on the web where you can catch flashy and expertly-produced videos of cars getting ready for tracks, and poised to dominate each lane during the amazing days of summer. When we are in our offices here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis getting ready to dole out the best deals for our valued customers on new and pre-owned vehicles, we are always looking high and low for the “digital goods” that show us the exciting performance aspects of new cars that we get fired up to tell you about.

The video released last week shows the potent and salacious ‘Next Gen’ Camaro ZL1, as NASCAR is ready to rumble on the hot June and July asphalt in collaboration with GM, Ford, and Toyota, and the ZL1 on display here has a lower greenhouse and much shorter trunk lid. When the competition heats up to A-level head-to-head status, this ZL1’s symmetrical body shape provides a killer amount of downforce, and the independent rear suspension provides stellar grip on the high-bank turns the track is known for.

A brand-new rear-mounted transaxle comes courtesy of the Corvette ZR1, and this agile and always ready to dominate Camaro will no doubt see a bit more ease with the task of switching out subframes if there is a sudden impact during a race. With very sharp and nimble handling around turns and deliciously lethal performance from its respective V6 and V8 engines, the Camaro ZL1 is the car that Edmunds.com claimed shows that muscle cars were never bound to die, simply to undergo massive evolution. This is certainly a multifaceted sports car that is well-positioned on a drag strip, road course, or any busy city street.

For anyone considering a ZL1, odds are your priority is all-out performance with high-octane attributes such as super-sharp handling, a data recorder, and availability as either a coupe or convertible. Some of the amazing optional equipment includes a sunroof, navigation system, upgraded suspension components, red brake calipers, a satin-black hood wrap, carbon-fiber rear spoiler, and other aerodynamic tweaks. Known for out-of-this-world acceleration and extreme affordability for the features that are standard, 20-inch forged alloy wheels and a unique rear spoiler in the trunk, it is not too difficult to tell the ZL1 coupe apart from its lesser siblings.

Just as it is for many who love the thrill and non-stop excitement of NASCAR if standing out is your thing, you’ll want to consider adding the available 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package, which comes with a signature huge carbon-fiber rear wing. Capable of producing 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, we have been consistently in awe of this car that is much more than just a straight-line launch machine and which valiantly nailed down a Nurburgring track time that was quicker than the Ferrari 488 GTB!
