Since that glorious day back in 1966 when the very first Camaro went on sale, fans of muscle and pony cars have been delighted by its performance. The truest and most capable competitor to the Ford Mustang was born, and scores of drivers here in St Louis worked overtime to make sure one of these beauties was parked in their garage. With track-conquering successes and fierce good looks, the Camaro was instantly an appealing option.
Not much has changed for the 2024 Camaro, but every model excluding the ZL1 Sport received an updated front end and rear styling. With a new fascia, grille, headlamps, LED lighting, hood, bumpers, and taillights the new 2024 Camaro is looking fresh. New for the 1LE is the thrilling turbo package that includes a 2.0-L turbo engine with 275 horsepower and 295 lbs. of torque, a heavy-duty brake package with low-metallic performance pads and 50/50 weight balance. Driver Mode Selector with Track Mode and Competition Mode includes features like instrument readouts, launch controls, shift lights, and much more. To round out the new Camaro, Recaro seats are available with a sueded flat-bottom steering wheel and sueded shift knob.
The SS trim sees notable improvements as well with an update from an 8-speed automatic transmission to a 10-speed, a new full display camera mirror upgraded to HD for a better view quality, Forward Collision Alert, and an update to the ambient lighting with the choice of new blended colors. Of course, the Camaro SS comes with the powerful 6.2-L V8. The new 10-speed automatic transmission mated with this beauty will push the Camaro 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds.
